WebP el nuevo formato de imagen desarrollado por Google superando a GIF, PNG, TIF y JPG

WebP La nueva promesa de Google para tener imagenes de menor pesos sin perder calidad.

Días atrás Google, dio a conocer las nuevas mejoras de WebP el nuevo formato de imágenes que intentará imponerse sobre los ya tradicionales JPG, TIF,  PNG y GIF.

Si bien es un proyecto que se viene desarrollando hace algún tiempo, según el último comunicado de Google este nuevo formato presenta ventajas funcionales sobre otros.  En esta última versión ante dos imágenes iguales la Webp puede llegar a ser hasta 45% más liviana lo que optimiza tiempos de carga de una página.
